At any given time I may have up to a Dozen machines that I have rescued from the recycle bin or Landfill. All machines have been totally cleaned and serviced. In some cases, parts were required to return them to proper working order such as a belt, a power cord, a lightbulb, etc. In a perfect world, I would like to get at least enough to cover my Cleaning & Service charge, shipping and parts.

I have an old Singer of my Grandmother's. I tried to replace a needle the other day and took one out of a package that said "Free Rotary" Below that, she wrote: 5-16. Below that she wrote: 40-60. The needle was too short to bring up the bobbin thread. Is this for a different machine? I would appreciate your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to buy that shorter needle(s) if they are for sale? I need it for my vintage Free-Westinghouse electric sewing machine, circa 1940s.
DeleteSome rotary machines had shorter needles and indeed would not work in the singer. The Singer would take a standard needle.
